Shallow murmuring pool

Carry me off in white sheets
Lap the soles of my feet
Cast your sorcery true

Heavy to wake blink bleary eyed
Silver on top gold from the sides
Blood magic dais gagged and bound
My saviour's thrall I see she's found
From thatch and mud to marble block
I lost an eye my hair she crops
For months or years pale sketch of time
Stumble through cruel and sweet delight

Shallow murmuring pool
Do what you ask me to do
For I see no end in sight
To this black currant night
Sipping some haxan brew

Incant in honey and hushed tones
Spidery scrawl across her tome
Desperate resolve to truly be freed
Of the sap I suck stuck to her tree
For I know here ghosts and worse unseen
May chew my bones and leave them clean
So I cry the words they burn and moan
Her own dead art has slain my host

Shallow murmuring pool
Pale body 'cross from me strewn
From which foul spirits do pour
As I put weight to this door
And start on my way anew
And leave behind you
